color and action at rodeos is just intoxicating for an artist; since
I'm particularly fond of painting horses, the roughstock action is
a natural for me. The pickup riders are compelling, since
they must be certifiably nuts to do the dangerous things they do -
like leaning over to grab a saddle bronc's lead rope at full gallop. |
