| Since moving to Montana a few years ago, I now
enjoy going to the many summertime rodeos that seem to be held in every little
mountain town at least once during the season. The color and action at rodeos is
just intoxicating for an artist; since I'm particularly fond of
painting horses, the saddle bronc action is a natural for me.
Explosive color seemed a match for the action in this painting,
which was juried into the 2007 C.M. Russell Auction (whoohoo!).
